Dr. Jeffrey Cone
Dr. Cone has received comprehensive training in plastic surgery in two of the nation’s epicenters of cosmetic surgery—South Florida, at the University of South Florida, and Dallas, at the premiere Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute. A graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch, Dr. Cone was awarded honors in research, named an Osler scholar for his compassionate, patient-centered care, and was inducted into both the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Society and the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Katelin Frey - Physician Assistant - Certified
Katelin is a Nationally Certified Physician Assistant and brings over a decade of experience to Wellspring Plastic Surgery. After receiving her undergraduate degree from Wake Forest University, Katelin completed her medical studies at Baylor College of Medicine in 2009. Katelin has many years of ER experience and brings a wealth of knowledge to Wellspring Plastic Surgery. As part of the Wellspring team, she will serve both pediatric and adult patients. Katelin’s belief in treating patients with exceptional, compassionate care allows Wellspring to provide another level of medical care. This native Austinite enjoys spending her free time outdoors with husband and young children.
Leslie Saavedra - Certified Medical Assistant & Aesthetic Specialist
Leslie Saavedra brings more than 15 years of clinical experience and a thoughtful, highly personalized approach to skincare and nonsurgical aesthetics. Leslie’s career began in Internal Medicine and evolved through Dermatology and Plastic Surgery, giving her a broad clinical perspective and a deep appreciation for healthy, beautiful skin. Her passion for aesthetic medicine led her to Wellspring, where she works alongside Dr. Jeffrey Cone and the Wellspring team to provide personalized care within a boutique, physician-led facial plastic surgery practice. Leslie’s approach is centered on subtlety, balance, and the individual patient. She takes the time to understand each person’s concerns and aesthetic goals, carefully considering their skin, features, lifestyle, and long-term objectives before recommending a treatment plan. Her goal is never to create a different version of her patients, but to help them look refreshed, healthy, and naturally confident.
Shania - Front Office Coordinator - Licensed Aesthetician
Originally from Northern California, Shania enjoys the vibrant social scene of Austin. Fueled by a passion for skincare and aesthetics, she embarked on a journey that led her to the prestigious Paul Mitchell School, where she earned her esthetician license. When she's not indulging in her skincare passions, Shania enjoys moments with friends and embracing the exciting atmosphere of Harley Bike Nights in town.
Crystal - Cosmetic Coordinator
Crystal brings two decades of experience and extensive education in the cosmetics industry and customer service to Wellspring Plastic Surgery. She has worked in plastic surgery for over 7 years, starting as a receptionist, then becoming a CoolSculpting and skincare expert. This gave her great insight into what it means to provide exceptional patient care and lead her to her role as a cosmetic coordinator. She is very passionate about guiding patients through their aesthetic journey and thoroughly enjoys being part of helping them achieve their cosmetic goals. She works closely with Dr. Cone to educate patients on surgical and non-surgical procedures.
Karen - General Manager
Karen brings over 24 years of healthcare management to Wellspring Plastic Surgery. She started her career in Anchorage, AK and has had the pleasure of working in several different medical specialties. Building a team and providing leadership are her passion. Karen is a member of the Medical Group Management Association both nationally and in Texas. She served as the President of the Alaska MGMA for three years. She is also a Certified Medical Practice Executive through the American College of Medical Practice Executives. Karen and her husband came to Texas in 2012 where she continued her career in the aesthetic field. Home remodeling and spending time with her family and grandchildren keep her busy outside of work.
